muta’aẕẕir (act. part. of تعذر 'to urge an excuse for oneself,' etc.; v of عذر 'to excuse,' etc.), adj. Making an excuse or an apology;—deserving of pardon, excusable;—difficult, impracticable, impossible;—defaced, effaced (a trace, or vestige);—stained, besmeared (with), defiled;—s.m. One who excuses himself; an apologist.
