mu`āḵẖaẕa (for A.  مؤاخذة mu`āḵẖaẕat, inf. n. of آخذ , iii of (and syn. with) اخذ 'to call to account; to punish,' etc.), s.m. Calling to account; taking satisfaction (from); retaliating; punishing, chastising; punishment; impeachment; accountability;—amends, damages;—reprehension, blame:—mu`āḵẖaẕadār, vulg. mu`āḵẖaẕe-dār, adj. Accountable (for, -kā), responsible, answerable:—mu`āḵẖaẕe-se barīkarnā(-ko), To relieve (one) from responsibility; to discharge from liability:—mu`āḵẖaẕe-se ćhuṛānā(-ko), 1˚To redeem (in law);—2˚i.q. mu`āḵẖaẕe-se barīkarnā:—mu`āḵẖaẕa karnā, v.n. To take satisfaction (from, -se);—v.t. To call to account; to impeach; to punish;—to demand as a due, to claim.
