mu`aẕẕin (act. part. of أذّن 'to make known, to notify, to proclaim,' etc., ii of أذن 'to know, to become informed,' etc.), s.m. One who proclaims (by a chant) the time of prayer; one who chants the call to prayer (from a minaret or tower of a mosque), a Muezzin.
