लगुड़ laguṛ, or लगुडः lagaṛ[S. लगुडः], s.m. A stick, staff, club; an iron club, or a club bound with iron; a bar (of iron, or other metal);—a species of hawk or falcon (prob. so called from the bar-like marks or stripes (on its breast):—lagaṛ-bagh, or lagaṛ-bagghā, or lagaṛ-bhaggā, s.m. A hyena (=lakaṛ-bagghā, lakṛā, or lagṛā).
