लपकना lapaknā[lapak˚= Prk. लप्पक्क(इ) or लप्पक्के(इ), prob. fr. S. लम्फ+कृ], v.n. To spring (upon,—par), to dart (at), to snatch (at); to make an attack (on); to bound, bounce; to catch (a ball, etc.); to flash, dart (as lightning); to beat, throb, palpitate; to rush (after), to give chase (to); to hurry, make haste:—lapak-lenā, v.t. To spring forward and seize; to seize, snatch; tosnap at or up; to hook, claw.
