लटकन laṭkan (i.q. laṭaknā) s.m. A hanging or being suspended; anything hanging; an ear-drop; drop (of a lustre or chandelier); a nose-ring; a pendant, an aigulet; a hanginglamp; clapper (of a bell); a plummet; a pendulum; a stand (for water-pots);—a kind of fruit, Bixa orellana (the pulp surrounding the seeds of which yields a yellow dye);—a kind of handsome green bird, Psittacus minor (so called because it often remains hanging by the claws):—laṭkan-ćāl, s.f. Oscillatory motion.
