केदार kedār, s.m. A field (esp. one under water, or under cultivation); a meadow; a bed (in a field or garden);—a mountain;—the modern Kedār, a place of (Hindū) pilgrimage in the Himālaya mountains:—kedār-nāth, or kedāreśvar (˚ra+ īś˚), s.m. 'Lord of Kedār,' an epithet of Śiva, as the object of worship at Kedār.
