كھیڑا

खेड़ा kheṛā[S. क्षेऽ+कः; and खेटकः, prob. a Prk. form], s.m. (dialec.) A field, land (=khet);—a small village, hamlet;—a mound of ruins, the site of an ancient town or village;—mixture, mixedness; a mixture (esp. of corn or grain):—kheṛābasānā, To people a village:—kheṛā-pati, s.m. Headman of a village;—a Brāhman entitled to perform certain religious ceremonies in a village and to receive the fees appertaining thereto.
