खु झराहा khujhrāhā[prob. khujhrā= khujrā= khujlā, rt. of khujlānā, q.v.+āhā= S. अक+कः], adj. & s.m. Stingy, niggardly, miserly, sordid;—a niggard, miser (syn. kr̤ipaṇ; ka njūs; Shakespear's Dictionary has 'stringy' instead of 'stingy,—a typographical error, no doubt; Forles copies 'stringy,' and adds 'ropy,' in which he is followed by Bate!).
