kufr (inf. n. of كفر 'to be unbelieving, or ungrateful,' etc.), s.m. Unbelief, infidelity; incredulity; scepticism; ingratitude; paganism, idolatry; impiety, blasphemy:—kufr baknā, or kufr-kākalma muṅh-se nikālnā, To utter blasphemous language; to talk nonsense, to prate:—kufr toṛnā(-kā), To overcome the infidelity (of), to make a convert to Islam (of); to overcome the obstinacy (of); to break the resolution (of a person):—kufr-istān, s.m.
