كالی

काली kālī(fem. of काल; and of H. kālā), adj. f. Black, etc. (=kālā, q.v.);—s.f. Black colour; blacking; ink; a black spot, a mole, a freckle, etc. (=kālak);—an epithet of the goddess Durgā, wife of Śiva (the Hecate of the Hindūs, to whom human sacrifices are offered);—the river Nile.
