kāsht[v.n. fr. kāshtan; rt. Zend karesh= S. कसर्् (कृष् )], s.f. Ploughing, tilling, cultivating; tillage, cultivation (syn. jot; bo-jot); cultivated land, a cultivated tract; a field, a farm; holding, tenure (of land):—kāsht-kār, s.m. A tiller of the soil, a cultivator, an agriculturist, a farmer:—kāsht-kārī, s.f. Tillage, cultivation (=kāsht):—kāsht karānā, v.t. (caus. of next), To have or get (land) tilled or cultivated; to farm out (land):—kāsht karnā, v.t.
