qist (inf. n. of قسط 'to appoint what is just,' etc.), s.f. Portion; instalment, dividend; a stipulated rate and time of payment (of revenue, etc.);—a tax:—qist bāṅdhnā(-kī), To arrange to pay (a debt, etc.) by instalments; to pay by instalments:—qist-bandī, s.f.
