farḥat (for A. فرحة , n. of un. fr. فرح ; see faraḥ), s.f. Joy, gladness, pleasure, delight, cheerfulness, happiness; amusement, diversion, recreation:—farḥat-ās̤ār, or farḥat-as̤ar, adj. Pleasant, happy:—farḥat-afzā, adj. Increasing delight, adding to (one's) joy or happiness, etc.; entertaining:—farḥatu’l-liqā, adj. Pleasant to look at or behold;—s.m. Name of a kind of kite, the Pondicherry eagle, Falco ponticerianus:—farḥat-anjām, adj. Of happy end or issue; prosperous; successful:—farḥat-baḵẖsh, adj. Imparting pleasure or happiness, pleasuregiving; diverting, amusing, entertaining, refreshing.
