g̠aib (inf. n. of غیب 'to be or become absent, or hidden,' etc.), s.m. Absence; invisibility; concealment; anything that is absent, or invisible, or hidden (from sight or mental perception); a mystery, secret; an event of futurity; the invisible world, the future state (=‘ālam-ě-g̠aib);—adj. Absent; invisible, unseen, unapparent; hidden, concealed; latent; mysterious, secret:—g̠aib-dān, adj. & s.m. Having knowledge of hidden things, or of the unseen or invisible world; skilful in discovering mysteries; omniscient;—a prophet, seer, diviner; the Omniscient Being:—g̠aib-dānī, s.f. Knowledge of hidden things, or of mysteries:—g̠aib-g̠ulelāhonāorho-jānā(-se), 'To become an invisible pellet'; to be or become absent, to be off (from); to be lost:—g̠aib honāor hojānā(naz̤ar-se), To vanish (from sight), to disappear; to be lost.
