g̠alla (for A. غلة g̠allat, v.n. fr. غل 'to enter,' etc.), s.m. The produce of the earth; grain, corn (syn. anāj); proceeds, revenue, income (from produce or corn, etc.), sale proceeds of the day; the box, etc. in which these proceeds are kept (cf. g̠ullak):—g̠alla bharnā(-meṅ), To store up grain:—g̠alla-dān, s.m. A granary:—g̠alla ḍālnā, To lay by something daily (towards an offering, etc.):—g̠alla-farosh, s.m. A grain-merchant, corn-dealer.
