غلبہ

g̠alaba, vulg. g̠alba (for A. غلبة , inf. n. of غلب 'to overcome,' etc.), s.m. Overcoming, overpowering, conquering, subduing, etc.; victory, conquest, ascendency, mastery, prevalence, predominance, superiority, advantage, superior power or force or influence; excess; assault; strength; success in a contest:—g̠alaba pānā(-par), To obtain the mastery (over), to be victorious, to get the better (of), etc.:—g̠alaba karnā(-par), To prevail (against), to overcome, overpower, conquer, subdue, to gain the ascendency, get the upper hand, etc.
