`azīmat (for A. عزیمة , inf. n. of عزم 'to determine,' etc.), s.f. Determination, etc. (=`azm, q.v.);—an obligatory statute or ordinance of God (=`azmat);—a charm, spell, incantation; power of compelling spirits to attend on one.
