z̤ihār (inf. n. iii of ظہر ; see z̤ahr), s.m. Pronouncing the words anti `alaiya ka-z̤ahri ummī, 'thou art to me like the back of my mother,' a formula of repudiation by which a man is divorced from his wife (a penance is requisite to do away the effect of such a speech).
