िशक्षा śikshā, s.f. Learning, study, the acquisition of knowledge; knowledge; teaching, instruction, tuition, education, training, discipline; doctrine, precept, maxim; admonition;—modesty, humility, diffidence;—one of the six Vedāngas or auxiliary branches of sacred study:—śikshā-śakti, s.f.
