سپنڈ

सिपण्ड sa-piṇḍ, = H سپنڈا सिपण्डा sapiṇḍā,adj. & s.m. Having the same pinḍa, connected by the offeringof the funeral cake; —a kinsman connected by the offering of the funeral cake to the manes of certain relations (viz.father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc., including the direct descendants of seven persons in ascending and descending line); one entitled to pinḍa, i.e. any person of seven generations in direct line of ascent or descent.
