سنجم

सं जम sanjam [S. संयमः; Prk. संजमो], s.m. Restraining; restraint, control; abstinence (from particular food on certain days), abstention; forbearance; sobriety; continence; the avoiding the infliction of pain (on others), humanity, compassionateness;—event, incident, occurrence:—sanjam karnā, v.t. To control (desire), to restrain, to keep in subjection, etc.
