समवाय sam-avāy (rt. ave, i.e. ava+i, with sam), s.m. Conjunction, close combination or union; meeting, concourse, collection, aggregate, assemblage, multitude; intimate or material relation (one of the seven categories of the Vaiśeshika system of Nyāya philosophy).
