समुदाय sam-udāya, vulg. samudā`e, s.m. and H. समुदाई samudā`ī, s.f. Rise, ascent; collection, multitude, quantity, number, heap, mass, aggregate, whole, totality;—war, battle; the rear or reserve of an army (see samuday).
