सम्भालना, संभालना sambhālnā[sambhāl˚= Prk. संभार(इ), or संभारे(इ)=S. सम्भारय(ित), caus. of rt. सम् +भृ ;—or a denom. fr. S. सम्भार], v.t. To support, sustain, hold up, uphold, prop; to take care of, to look after; to maintain; to assist, help; to set right, to arrange, settle; to manage; to superintend; to regulate (expenses, revenue, etc.); to moderate; to stop, retain; to restrain, control, curb, check, keep in check; to repress; to correct, punish:—sambhāllenā, v.t. intens. of and = sambhālnā.
