سماع

samā` (inf. n. of سمع 'to hear,' etc.), s.m. Hearing, listening to; listening to music or singing; the sense of hearing;—singing, song, music (instrumental or vocal); ecstasy occasioned by hearing singing or music (particularly in Derwishes when hearing hymns).
