salīqa (for A. سلیقة salīqat, v.n. fr. سلق 'to adapt or dispose to,' etc.), s.m. Nature, natural disposition or constitution; genius; taste; good disposition; method, knack, way; knowledge, skill, dexterity, address:—salīqa-dār, salīqashě`ār, salīqa-mand, and salīqa-wālā, adj. Of good disposition; well-conducted; possessed of genius; discerning, discreet:—salīqa-ě-guftgū, s.m. or salīqe-kīguftgū, s.f. Polite conversation:—salīqa-ě-majlis, s.m. Good breeding.
