सुःत sust (=S. असु ःथ; see su-stha), adj. Indisposed, heavy, languid; feeble, weak; dejected, downcast; unbraced, relaxed, lax, slack, loose; sluggish, inactive, slow, dull, depressed (as a market, etc.); indolent, slothful, idle, lazy, dilatory, tardy, negligent, remiss:—sust-ě`tiqād, adj. Slow to believe, lax in confidence, incredulous, sceptical; fickle:—sust-paimān, adj. Slow or backward in fulfilling an engagement; fickle:—sust karnā, v.t. To relax; to diminish the motion or speed of; to throw cold water on, to discourage.
