सुदाय su-dāy, and H. सदाय sa-dāy, s.m. Good gift, auspicious gift; a special gift given on particular solemn occasions (e.g. a gift to a student at his investiture with the sacred thread, a nuptial present, etc.);—one who makes the above present (e.g. a mother, father, husband, etc.).
