سجدہ

sijda (for A. سجدة sijdat, v.n. fr. سجد 'to prostrate oneself (in prayer)'), s.m. Prostration (in prayer, etc.); bowing so as to touch the ground with the forehead in adoration (esp. to God), adoration:—sijda-gah, s.f. Place of adoration, mosque, temple, etc.;—a board upon which Shī`as rest the forehead in the act of prostration.
