सƣू sattū[Prk. सƣुओ; S. सƠुकः], s.m. The flour of barley, gram, etc. (parched before it is ground), parched grain reduced to meal, ptisan;—satu`ā, adj. Pulverable, free from threads or fibres (applied to a kind of ginger, e.g. satu`ābaitrā):—sattū-ḵẖura, adj. & s.m. Pæderastes, pædicator, præposteræ veneri addictus:—satu`ā-saṅkrānt, s.f. The entering of the sun into Aries, on which day the meal of parched grain is distributed to Brāhmaṇs.
