sattār (intens. n. fr. ستر 'to veil, conceal'), adj. & s.m. Covering, concealing;—one who veils or conceals often or well (an epithet of the Deity):—sattāru`l-`uyūb, Hiding sins (with the veil of mercy); (He) who is wont to veil sins.
