सा sā[S. शस् , the Taddhita affix], adv. suffix (f. -ī), Very, intensely, etc. (it is annexed to adjectives, and to the relative, interrogative, and indefinite pronouns; and forms adjectives with an intensified signification; e.g. kālā-sā, 'very black'; bahut-sā, 'very much or many,' 'a great deal of,' 'a great many'; thorā-sā, 'very little'; kaun-sā, 'which particular one' (out of a number)?; ko`ī-sā, 'any one whatever'; kućh-sā, 'somewhat').
