सावन sāvan, s.m. Institutor of a sacrifice or employer of priests at a sacrifice; the conclusion of a sacrifice or the ceremonies by which it is terminated;—a name of Varuṇa;—a month of thirty solar days; a natural or civil day (from sunrise to sunset); a day reckoned from sunrise to sunrise (of which 1,577,917,828 are counted in a yugaor cycle of 4,320,000 years).
