सारना sārnā[sār˚= Prk. सार(इ) or सारे(इ)=S. सारय(ित), caus. of rt. सृ ], v.t. To move aside or away, to remove (=sarkānā);—to make an end of, consume, expend, exhaust;—to make, perform, achieve, accomplish, effect; to complete, perfect (syn. nibāhnāand sādhnā); to array, to marshal; to tame; to mend, renew, repair, restore; to correct, improve, ameliorate; to mind, observe;—to manure;—to paint (the eyes with collyrium), apply (collyrium).
