rajab (v.n. fr. رجب 'to fear; to venerate'), s.m. The seventh month of the Arabian and Moḥammadan year (so called because of the honour in which it was held in the Time of Ignorance, inasmuch as war or fighting during it was held unlawful):—rajabu`l-murajjab, s.m. 'Rajab the honoured,' the month Rajab.
