धकधकाना dhakdhakānā, (dialec.) धुकधुकाना dhukdhukānā(dhakdhak˚, by redupl. fr. dhak, q.v.; cf. dhaṛaknā), v.n. To blaze up, to burn brightly;—to shine, glitter, flash, twinkle;—to beat, throb, palpitate, flutter; to tremble, shake (through fear); to be perturbed, be anxious.
