ḵẖāna (prob. rel. n. fr. ḵẖān, q.v.), s.m. House, dwelling, place; receptacle, socket, drawer, partition, compartment; pigeon-hole (of a desk); square (of a chess-board, etc.); column (of a tabular statement, etc.); head (in an account or statement); division, class; department:—ḵẖāna-ābād, 'May your house flourish!'
