ḥayāt (inf. n. of حیِی 'to live'), s.f. Life:—ḥayāt-ě-tāza, s.f. New life, regeneration (used to express recovery from severe illness, the pleasure derived from meeting with a friend, etc.):—ḥayāt-ě-musta`ār, s.f. A contingent life (depending on the will of God).
