ḥaml, vulg. ḥamal (inf. n. of حمل 'to bear or carry,' etc.), s.m. A burden, load;—gestation, pregnancy; the fruit (of the womb), the young that is borne in the womb;—fruit (of a tree):—ḥaml rahnā(-ko), To conceive, to become pregnant:—ḥaml karnā, v.t.
