جھاڑ

झाड़ jhāṛ(v.n. of jhāṛnā), s.f. Sweeping, cleaning, etc. (see jhāṛ-nā); a purge; a shower, continuous and heavy rain, downpour (=jhaṛī):—jhāṛ-ant, adv. Sweeping clean out, making a clean sweep, entirely:—jhāṛ-bāqī, s.f. Clearing off (an account, etc.), full payment; finishing touch or stroke:—jhāṛbāṅdhnā, v.n. To shower, to pour down, to rain without ceasing:—jhāṛ-poṅćh, s.f. Wiping, dusting, cleaning:—jhāṛ-pahāṛ, s.m. Digression:—jhāṛ-phūṅk, s.f.
