जमकना jamaknā[jamak˚= Prk. जम्मक्क(इ) or जम्मक्के(इ), fr. S. जन्म+कृ; see jamnā], v.n. To be collected, be assembled; to be settled or adjusted; to succeed, go on well; to fit; to flourish, prosper, thrive (=jamnā; panapnā; ćamaknā); to be going on, be proceeding, be begun (as a case or suit, e.g. mugaddama jamkā); to be joined (as battle, e.g. laṛā`ījamkī); to be full (as a meeting, etc.; e.g. majlis jamkī):—dūkān jamkī, Buyers and sellers are collected in the shop.
