جكڑنا

जकड़ना jakaṛnā[jakaṛ˚prob.=S. यतं+कृ], v.t. To draw tight (as a knot, etc.), to tighten, to tie tight; to bind, to fasten, to pinion; to put in the stocks:—jakaṛ-jānā, v.n. To become stiff or rigid; to be firmly or tightly bound; to be closely joined or placed together, to be closely packed.
