तीखा tīkhā[S. तीआण+कः], adj. Sharp, hot, pungent, etc. (=tīkshṇa, q.v. & cf. tez); piercing, keen; bright, sparkling; comely, graceful; piquant, smart, lively sprightly; spruce, dapper; spicy, racy; fine, shrill, high (as a sound or tone);—s.m. A comely or beautiful person:—tīkhī, s.f. A sharp tone, a shrill or high note:—tīkhī-bhāl, adj. (Bot.), Subulate.
