थल thal [Prk. थलं ; S. ःथलं], s.m. Firm or dry ground, land (as opp. to water); ford; ground or land, soil; place, spot, site; den of a lion or tiger; raised ground, a mound; a sandhill:—thal-andar vidyā, s.f.
