تلوا

तलु आ talu`ā, तलवा talwā[S. तल+कः, with व inserted], s.m. The sole of the foot; the heel:—talwā ćāṭnā= talwe ćāṭnā, q.v.:—talwoṅ-se āg lagnā, v.n. To feel the soles burning'; to be on fire, be excessively angry:—talwoṅ-se lagnā(-ke), 'To touch or stick to the soles of the feet'; to touch or affect (one), to touch the feelings or interests (of); to follow close at the heels (of), dog the steps (of), to pursue closely:—talwe-tale hāth dharnā(-ke), 'To place the hand under the soles (of)'; to flatter, etc.=next, q.v.:—talwe ćāṭnā(-ke), 'To lick the soles of the feet (of)'; to flatter, coax, wheedle:—talwe sahlānā(-ke), 'To stroke the soles of the feet (of)'; to flatter, etc.=talwe ćāṭnā.
