बहता bahtā(imperf. part. of bahnā), adj. (f. -ī), Running, flowing (water), floating, gliding away; afloat:—bahte pānī-meṅhāth dhonā, lit. 'To wash one's hands in the running stream'; to pay attention to one's friends; to attend to one's own business or affairs while the opportunity is favourable, to make hay while the sun shines; to swim with the tide.
