भींम bhīshma, adj. & s.m. Terrible, horrible, terrific, fearful;—horror, the sentiment of horror; goblin, imp, rākshas; name of the granduncle of the Pānḍus, and son of the Ganges; name of Śiva:—bhīshmāshtamī(bhīshma+ashṭamī), s.f.
