भरम bharam [S. धमर् , by change of initial consonant; though supposed by some to come from S. ॅम], s.m. Character, reputation, esteem, credit:—bharam bāṅdhnā, v.t. To gain a reputation; to establish (one's) credit:—bharam karnā, v.t. To credit, believe, rely upon, depend on:—bharam gaṅwānā, v.t. To sacrifice (one's) reputation or character, to lose (one's) credit.
