बूझना būjhnā[būjh˚= Prk. बुज्झ(इ)=S. बु ध्य(ते), rt. बुध् ], v.t. To understand, perceive, make out, comprehend; to conceive, think, consider, regard, account; to ascertain, inquire (of, se):—būjh-paṛnā, v.n. To be understood, etc.; to appear or seem (to, -ko):—būjh-lenā, v.t.=būjhnā, q.v.; to come to an understanding (with, -se), settle accounts (with); to settle the amount of gain and loss (at cards, etc.):—būjhan-hār, adj. Thoughtful, intelligent, reflective.
